Ok, so my current computer is dying on me, and I swore that the next computer I would get would be a Mac, because I’m sick and tired of windows.

Right now I use my iPod with my windows laptop, so if I go out and buy a Mac, I can restore it and then use it to sync with that, right?

Hi, I am trying to buy a dell laptop for someone in London from New York. I am having difficulty finding places which accept credit cards with a US billing address for online purchases. I have used the same cards while in London physically. Does anyone know of any online places which accept US visa or mastercard where i can buy a Dell laptop. Thanks

also, i already tried ebay and dell.co.uk and they all require credit cards with UK billing address.

I would like to buy a used mac, but i would like to get one that can be pretty fast….i don’t anything about apple laptops.

A mean, should i look for the Specs as a would in windows XP or Vista? i have never had or used a Mac before that’s why i am asking.

i have a dell inspiron laptop that i bought back in march but now i would like to use it mostly to play games. is it possible to upgrade the graphics card in it so i can play some games on it?

I’m headed off to college, so I’m pretty much only going to use it for school. Entertainment wise, I just want it for music. So what would be the better buy? A Sony Vaio is also an option….

Just wondering what your experience was like and If it worked well ? Above all we’re you satisfied overall ?

Reason I’m asking is because I might be a used laptop. The model I’m looking at regularly costs a fair amount of money when bought "new". So I’m thinking of getting the same one but used.

iam living in philippines and i cant purchase a laptop from amazon.com, and the thing is, that laptop was cheap, and i cant buy one like these here in the counttry.

My dad recently bought a dell laptop with the same spec as mine part from he has AMD Turion x2 2.0ghz i have AMD Sempron x2 1.80ghz. His laptop was shipped with VIsta Business mine was shipped with vista home basic. I like the features of business and i would like to be able to use his vista disk on my laptop. Both are dell. I know for a fact dell computers come with the serial included in the oem disk and a different serial on the COA on the back of the laptop. Is there anyway i can use his disk on my laptop?

I recently bought a 15 inch macbook pro with a student discount, but now I want to sell it and get a 13 inch macbook pro. I was told I could only buy one laptop per school year, but wonder if I just go to another apple store and use a different credit card and address, is there any way they will know? How do they know? Do they record my address or credit card number or school affiliation?

well whatever the case is, either from Pakistan or abroad, but i will prefer US , want it to be shipped to pakistan to me.
Amazon dont ship to Pakistan, On Ebay Some ppl ships to pakistan but they accept paypal and Pakistani’s are not allowed to open an account in paypal.

if any body knows about the anyother option of payment like 2checkout.com or other way please let me know.

I use Photoshop, MS Office, database softwares like Filemaker, Pagemaker, some home video editing, some games (not the heavy ones like some diehard gamers do), surf the internet for about 6-8 hours, download pictures, music and video. So which should I buy a Mac or a PC; a desktop or a laptop? WHY?

I have other considerations besides the OS (I’ve had experience with both Mac OS and Windows) like hardware durability, compatibility with external devices like handycam, digital camera, mp3 players, etc.

Please suggest a specific brand and model.

I’m an American moving to England… I don’t want my computer to explode, I don’t want to spend hundreds on batteries, I don’t want to buy a new laptop, and I absolutely cannot go an entire year without my laptop. Any other suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

My private high school requires every student buy an Apple laptop which has MAC OS X in it. However, I’m not used to using Mac OS, and I intend to install XP on the laptop.
So is that possible that I can use parallel window XP and Mac OS X on Apple laptop ?? (Obviously, those operating system will be on different partitions).

I haven’t received my laptop yet, but I just want to know for sure that I can do it.

I’m looking to buy a cheap laptop computer, but I’ve used Macs all my life. Are there any similar computers that are cheaper? I hate to admit it, but I have a stereotype against Windows after the school computers from 2003. If there is a newer Windows and it’s better than the oldies, but still cheaper than a Mac, feel free to let me know. Thanks!

I have a Apple Macbook.not a pro.And i wanted to buy these computer games like Sims 2 or Roller coaster Tycoon which only runs on Windows.is there something you can download to get Windows instead & play these games?& run Window Movie Maker 2& Window softwares?

In addition,iMovie sucks to me.Whenever i make a amv or something.A 3 min. clip takes 2 GB.Which i cant fit in on youtube which my youtube account only allows you to upload 100mb videos.So i i use those online video editors onetruemedia.com that makes me do montages that takes less space.Im too jaded to go there.So is there a software I can download besides iMovie

It’s for my nephew. I’ve heard that it may have viruses,etc. I’m pretty uneducated when it comes to computers, so any advice would help. He’s 12, so the budget is around 150ish. Is this realistic??
