apples are so much better. Everyone who I know that has a PC of some sort, they have broken, in all sorts of different ways, so so much. A friend has the newest sony vaio, and sony are the best, and it has already crashed more times in 1 week, then our 7 year old apple has ever.
email, the internet, powerpoint, writing, everything is so much quicker, and easier. Now you can also get windows for your mac, so that is great. With regards to getting used to it, if you are really used to PCs, then it will take 1 day or 2 days max to get used to it – just ask a friend. Once a mac, always a mac – they are so much better.
Windows laptop is the way to go.
Windows is the most popular and that’s what I have but my son has an Apple Mac and he seems to have less problems with it than I have. My son in law also says his next computer will be a Mac.
Yes, there is a fairly big difference between the two. If you are used to Windows, kepp on windows. Apple laptops are very hard to understand at first, as the controls are all different from windows. I’d reccomend the Dell Inspiron 6400 which is £650 and has everything you need. If you REALLY want an Apple laptop, go for the iBook. It is the most reliable of the apple laptops.
It all depends on what you are doing with it. Now, personally, I will always perfer Macs because they are more reliable. Windows is a horrible operating system. If you want something good for graphic design, then get a Mac. If you don’t really care, then just get the Windows. If you are just using it for internet and word processing. It really doesn’t matter which you get. Apples have good battery life, though.

Your biggest decision is this. Will you be editing movies, music or pictures with it? If so, go Mac. If not, there are many more programs for Windows however if at all possible do not buy Windows Vista just yet as there are way too many bugs still. Please email me if you need more help.
