Are laptops able to be used in foreign countries without a voltage converter?

I have a Compaq CQ60-418DX laptop computer and will be traveling from U.S. to Thailand next month. Will I need a voltage converter? The power cable I have notes a wide range input from 100-240 v. I think this means it would auto-convert, but want to make sure. I don’t want to fry my computer. Thanks for any help.

No absolutely not as the voltage difference can fry your lap top.
Go to http://www.frys.com and price the converters.
Damn, I hope. I’m going to Iraq.
Yes you will need one
