Best laptop to buy??

I am looking to buy a new laptop. I’ve gone through three dell laptops, and they just don’t impress me that much. I kind of want to buy an Apple laptop, but I’ve never had one, so I’m not sure how the rank against other laptops, since they have a differnet operating system. Another one i was looking at is an HP, no particular system. I would use it for personal use and stuff, so any recommendations?

try not to look for brand names but better to check the specifications of the parts or componenets that comes with the laptop
processor must be any of the ff: dual core,core 2 duo, quad core, core 2 quad (intel or amd)
memory 2gig-up (DDR2)
hard drive 160gig-up
other parts is subject to your preferrence and the operating system is up to you, XP, vista, linux or mac

apple macbook. they have similar specs as mot other laptops do, they use the same hardware. they run OSX, which does not get vireses, or other malware, and you can also install windows on it for all your windows only apps. there is no reason not go get one theses days.
I recommend ibm laptops. Go to lenovo.com
cheap goood, fast and reliable laptop. You can customize it but good part are already there. Less than 800$ if u want a good running and can do more like entertinment.

Mac, and you can’t look just at specs. You want to get the best value for your money, but you also want something reliable. Macs are great, and I really like mine.
i would highly suggest a sony VAIO (preferably a vgn-cr220e)
It is very reliable and has great quality. I would highly suggest you to NOT get an HP because they are notorious for not lasting very long. Apple laptops are good quality BUT they can be difficult to use if you are switching to a mac from a pc that runs windows.
