If there are speakers and / or an earphone jack then yes, there is hardware built in. Look at the device manager either via the control panel or by right clicking my computer. Expand ‘sound, video and game controllers’. Try disabling the device and re-enabling it. If this doesn’t work then it’s probably drivers you need.
Hi,
!
If there are speakers and an earphone jack then yes, there is the hardware built in. Then, you should just enable it in the device manager. If it still dose not work, you’ll need the drivers.
If not, just buy two external speakers!
The I 6400/ E1505 has an inbuilt sound card. go to F12 on startup(soon as you turn on the computer), select diagnostics and once the test is complete go to system test and then custom test and run a test on audio device. if you hear sound, that means OS is bad. if you do not hear sound then sound card is bad.
