I have a Apple Macbook.not a pro.And i wanted to buy these computer games like Sims 2 or Roller coaster Tycoon which only runs on Windows.is there something you can download to get Windows instead & play these games?& run Window Movie Maker 2& Window softwares?

In addition,iMovie sucks to me.Whenever i make a amv or something.A 3 min. clip takes 2 GB.Which i cant fit in on youtube which my youtube account only allows you to upload 100mb videos.So i i use those online video editors onetruemedia.com that makes me do montages that takes less space.Im too jaded to go there.So is there a software I can download besides iMovie
that you can edit videos & compress videos that doesnt gobble ub your whole memory?

It’s for my nephew. I’ve heard that it may have viruses,etc. I’m pretty uneducated when it comes to computers, so any advice would help. He’s 12, so the budget is around 150ish. Is this realistic??

Hi, I’m planning to buy an apple laptop. Currently I’m using PC since many years & wanted to shift to Mac OS. The 13.3" Macbook screen making me to tend towards Macbook Pro since it has a 15.4" screen. But I liked the new sunken keyboard which Macbook has. Are u guys have any idea abt apple’s consideration in changing Macbook Pro’s keyboard too like Macbook has??

I am looking to buy a new laptop. I’ve gone through three dell laptops, and they just don’t impress me that much. I kind of want to buy an Apple laptop, but I’ve never had one, so I’m not sure how the rank against other laptops, since they have a differnet operating system. Another one i was looking at is an HP, no particular system. I would use it for personal use and stuff, so any recommendations?

I will soon be planning to buy a laptop, but I will be using it for school and college later on. Which is a better and a smarter choice, Apple or Windows?

I usually use the computer for Internet Search, Writing reports, essays, and other school work, etc. I also use it for storing pictures from my Digital Camera and iTunes as well. I currently have Windows XP in my P.C, yet have been having trouble with viruses, the computer freezes and is somewhat slow during the Internet search process. Yet compare to my school, they use Apple instead, and so far I like it.

All ideas and suggestions are truly appreciated. Thanks!

I heard apple is a good choice, but i dont know a lot about computers and am kinda confused on the difference between a macbook pro and a macbook. does anyone know which one is better if ima use the laptop for everything.

need enough speed to play DVD’s have a better than average sound system, play some games (call of duty) use MS works, Excel, Powerpoint, looking for a trustworthy outlet someone around Vancouver Wa. or someplace online. Also we are going wireless at our home what system should we choose. The laptops will need the wireless cards or internal not sure which is best. also need USB ports for thumb drives and digital camera. Thanks for the help

I’m not a computer person. My dad bought an apple computer a while ago and he doesn’t know how to use it and probably never will. I’ve slowly been learning how to use it. I asked my dad for the internet and he told me that if I learn how to use the laptop I can have it. He said that I can use the network from our house to get wireless internet on the laptop. I just don’t know how to do that. Can someone please walk me through the steps of getting wireless internet on my apple laptop using our home’s network? Keep in mind I’m not a computer person so…. layman’s terms please.

I’m buying a used laptop and am wondering which one of the two options to purchase.

1) Open box unit. Cosmetic blemishes on main unit. Cosmetic blemishes on accessory. Repackaged in Amazon brown box.

2) Open box unit. Cosmetic blemishes on main unit. Minor damage to outer box. Package resealed.

What do they mean? Where are these blemishes located?

I’m also wondering what a Notebook is? Is it another name for laptop or is it different. What should I look for if I plan to use it for basic personal and business needs. I won’t be using it to watch movies or listen to music although I’m thinking those might be options. Can you tell me what basics I should look for and where to look? What can I expect to pay and how can I know the condition of a used one?

I know I maybe stupid, but I can’t probably afford a new laptop so I was thinking of buying a used laptop from…online? But I dont even know what minimun requirements I would need. I plan to use the laptop for online classes, word processing, internet stuff. I do have an excellent home computer back up. Can anyone help?

Im interested in buying an apple laptop but most of them come in 13" screen sizes. I’m using a 15.4" laptop right now with Vista and a lot of times I wish this screen were bigger so I can’t imagine shrinking a whole 2.4"! Yet Apple has a reputation for being a competent company…

I’ll be using the laptop for database design classes, programming classes, web design classes, microsoft excel, web browsing, and movies. Am I going to hate life if I buy a 13" laptop from Apple?

P.S. Yeah, I know they sell 15" and 17" models but I’m most interested in the macbook air which only comes in 13".
