G3 “Code removal” or G4? I need to buy an Apple laptop, and use iWeb to support my website.?

What to do? My gorlfriend is leaving and taking her MacBookPro with her that we share. I can’t afford one of those, or even a MacBook. G4 is a possibility, but I need to save as much money as possible and still have something I can use (I’m a photographer). i don’t use Raw files, or anything fancy, or do videos. But I do use iPhoto and iWeb a lot, and understand those need at least a G4 — especially iWeb, which Apple technicians say won’t run at all on a G3. But I’ve heard rumors tat you can "remove code" on a G3, and wonder if such a thing is worth gettign involved with to save money, if I can get one that’s got sufficient processor speed (say 1gHz), and RAM (over 512Mg.).

Get a G4 running at a minimum of 867 MHz. PowerBook G3 Pismos, which are the only ones that work with iWeb properly, are too expensive for what they are anymore, and iBook G3′s having problems with their video chip.
Also, Apple has stated that no G3 computers and G4 computers running slower than 867 MHz will not be supported in the next version of OS X (though I’m sure XPostFacto will change that). As iWeb and .Mac services go on, they’ll eventually be moved away from being compatible with older versions of Mac OS X.
A G4 Powerbook or iBook would be good. Max out the ram if you can. A G3 is not worth it in the long run.
