My first laptop was a an old used Dell. Then I got a Brand New HP Pavialian this Christmas. I loved the laptop, I couldn’t say anything bad about it. Only problem is someone robbed my house an took the laptop, so now I’m looking into buying a new Laptop.
I was thinking of getting an Apple Laptop, Or a Sony laptop.
First of all I cant choose between Apple or Windows XP
I’m pretty good at computers an could adjust to Apple.
I just don’t know which was to go. An If I do choose Windows
which Brand to buy?
Thanks for the help

Go for apple because vista’s not good.
APPLE
Windows
sony are very good, but a little pricey
and vistas aren’t bad
i have both xp and vista
and i am a programmer, gamer, and web designer my vista has no problems
it just a trend people are saying that vistas aren’t good
If money isn’t a problem, the Apple could be a good choice. Not only can it run Mac OS X but now since Apple is using Intel processors, it can run Windows, XP, Vista etc. Of course, for about half to 2/3 the cost you could buy a comparable Windows box. The choice is your’s.
I would go with the Apple. No, not because I’m an Apple fanboy but because they make a generally better computer. You sound intelligent and its not a steep learning curve to adjust to Mac OS X.
And if you did have problems with the native OS just install Windows onto the Mac with Boot Camp.
Hands down choose the Mac, I can almost guarantee that you won’t want to use Windows ever again.
macs (apples) are hard to use and are a lot more expensive than pcs. but i heard that they are going to discontinue the windows xp line sometime next year or so.
all of my laptops have been dells and i highly reccommend them because they’re relatively inexpensive
it really comes down to personal preference. . .
if you want something stylish to re charge your i-pod, then ge a MAC, if you want something to work for you, then get windows XP(just make sure to install a anti-virus. the common misconception that MAC don’t get viruses, it is not true, there are tons of viruses for MAC but nothing compared to the amount for PC because hackers are more likely to steal information if they attack a PC)
so yeah keep that in mind when purchasing
hope this helps!!
I would get an Apple laptop because for one thing Vista is not that great… it has many errors with it and its annoying. And secondly Mac computers can’t get any viruses at all. There is no known way to create a virus for a Mac so therefore, you will always be safe with whatever you download or whatever websites you happen to browse. You may see anti-virus software for Mac computers but don’t be fooled by this the Mac won’t need any software to protect it since it automatically updates its protection (hence why it is impossible to get a virus on a Mac computer). And lastly although the Mac can’t run all Windows programs there are usually special ones made for the Mac. And if you don’t want that, then you can always run the Mac’s OSX and Windows in one computer.
^ BTW seriously don’t believe the guy above me… he is partly right that there ARE viruses created for Mac computers but it is impossible to be infected with any. This is because the Mac constantly updates it’s protection meaning that the people who code viruses would need to keep changing their code as well, and there is really no point in that.
If you are planning to wait a new version of windows is going to be released(windows xp black).that generally must have solved most of the problems that occured with vista.but if you want to buy right now and dont like vista you can just buy windows xp.its the best os of all.
