I really like it. I have used Mac OS X and Windows over the years, and I definitely like OS X much better than Windows. You have much better virus protection, the software is easier to use and configure, and it runs faster. I run Final Cut Studio on mine without a problem (even though it supposedly doesn't run on a laptop w/ integrated graphics) Vista is a pain in the neck. It has tons of bugs in it. If you do for some reason decide on a PC, at least buy XP and downgrade to it. I wouldn't recommend a black macbook unless you don't mind cleaning it often (it picks up a lot of fingerprints). The white one may get dirty, but not as noticeable as the fingerprints on the black one. I'd recommend getting a BookShell case for your Macbook-I have on on mine and it protects it very well.
