If you don’t know how to open a computer and neither want to pay somebody to put you a pci card, probably the best, fast and easy solution would be buying an usb wireless connector: http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-53200-19255-0/1?type=2&campid=5335868202&toolid=10001&customid=usbwifi&ext=250241494005&item=250241494005
Hope it helps
Most new laptops have wireless built in.
Now you need to go buy a wireless router.
Once you get one, hook it up like this
[broadband connection ethernet port]—-[router wan/internet port]
Once you do that, your laptop will be able to connect to the router wirelessly and get on the net.
Get a Linksys PCI Card And Linksys Router
Then you be up and running

well first you need a wireless router to connect to your internet modem. is for the dell you cold go to there site and search for you model and see what accessories it can use(but don’t buy from them to expensive). try newegg.com for that kind of stuff. good luck and have fun!
All newer laptops have integrated 802.11g wireless cards, some have 802.11n (faster).
If you’re taking it to a public WiFi access point, then you need not buy anything else. Just search for an Access Point using your laptop and connect.
If you want a personal WiFi network for your home and have a broadband internet connection (kinda pointless with dial-up), then just buy a wireless router.
This is a good one 802.11n. Fast, reliable and great QoS

For 802.11g

The second can be flashed with custom firmware like tomato, which makes it much better (stable, faster and Great QoS) especially if you have multiple computers on your LAN.

I’d get the 802.11n router if you can afford it.
