I intend to buy a used laptop with Windows Vista. Will Microsoft allow me to transfer ownership of Vista?

My concern is whether I’ll be able to successfully reactivate Vista as the new owner in the event I reformat the computer, upgrade the memory, replace the LCD screen if I break it and so on.

WINDOWS VISTA SUCKS. I JUST WANT TO TELL YOU THAT. GET VISTA NEXT YEAR IN NOVEMBER. THAT’S JUST WHAT I THINK.
Yes, you should be OK. But, make sure you get a proper Bill of Sale and all the factory supplied Manuals (Read them FIRST) & Disks (Vista Recovery files could be on the hard drive) that came with the PC.
Then call or Email them and ask how to update their records.
Yes.
