I want to purchase a laptop for portability. I have only used Microsoft Windows. Should I consider an Apple ?
I always used a Desktop(Dell Microsoft). I want a laptop for portability- e-mail, wi-fi radio reception. Should I even consider an Apple? What is the best(safest) market to buy used?

Yes, definitely.
As to your question, you say you want superior Wi-Fi radio reception. Macs are known to have the best Wi-Fi radio reception. They have a built in device called Airport, which is an internal Wi-Fi radio receiver. It has been rated the best, and in my case, it was terrific.
If you want to know what the best/safest market to buy used notebooks is, Apple sells refurbished notebooks for less. These notebooks have been certified by the company themselves as working, so you know you’re not getting a cheap, piece-of-garbage laptop that doesn’t function. You’re buying them direct from the company, and I believe it’s insured and is covered by warranty.
I know it’s a hard decision to buy a new (or used =]) notebook and there are a lot of different options, but I swear by Apple’s products. I don’t work for them, I just love them =].
If you’d like to take a look at some refurbished MacBooks or MacBook Pros, here is the link:

Happy buying!
Even though Apple may provide you with what you want to do i’m sure that Windows will definitely do what you need a whole lot easier and with more support.
i think microsoft would be better since ur used to it..i heard both r kinda the same so microsoft is better..but idk
Yes you should consider a MacBook as they are also the best and safest laptop to buy. They also run Windows.
Guide to Mac Leopard here

The MacBook also has the multi touch mouse pad

Macs run Microsoft Office:mac
or
iWork08 from Apple which works with MS office
http://www.apple.com/iwork/
All Macs can also run Windows with Bootcamp,
VMware
which contrary to some opinions DOESN’T run Windows slowly.
You can also develop apps for the Mac or iPhone with the iPhone SDK
http://developer.apple.com/iphone/program/
Or you can download OpenOffice3.0
http://openoffice-software.com/new/home/?affebnid=124&gid=&ovid=&yid=&msid=&hop=howgood
which is native to Mac and FREE
- it works with MS Office too.
All Macs come with iLife08

PhotoBooth and Garage Band and Safari web browser.
There is also HEAPs of FREE stuff for Mac

Try a HP a good all rounder, reliable, durable and long lasting. Plus a very good back up service if you ever need it.
U should buy the proper OS that is suitable for u. If u’ve been using windows, mind aswell stick to it but if ur doing arts or graphic and stuff, use apple and if ure doing things like online buisness or games or just basic stuff, use windows.
a dell is good but a mac laptop it is really usfull for everything it has the basic needs, and then it has a great editing program, i have even produced my own song. and for buying it dont use ebay for big things like computers, i would do craigslist you can go to there house and check it out before you buy it.
Get an hp dv5 15.4" for about $500. Macs cost 4 to 5 times as much as windows notebooks with the same features.
If you get a Mac, you’ll find ours of extra time on your hands (form not having to download security fixes, running scans, eradicating viruses, re-installing Windows, and so on).
Could you handle that?
I’ve always been a Mac girl, I just bought a new Macbook. I love it, but that’s because I don’t understand PCs as well, and sometimes I use it at work (which is all Mac).
Unless you really need some of the applications that Mac has, you’re better off sticking with what you’re familiar with. I could have bought a PC laptop with half the money I spent on the computer I’m using to write this. I bought what I wanted, though.
There are PC laptops with features designed for people who play a lot of video games, or do multimedia stuff. Visit a store and talk to the salesperson about your computer use, and they’ll point you in the right direction. Do a lot of shopping around too. There’s no need to pay for more features than you plan to use. And there are some really sweet deals around, so go out and shop and talk to the salespeople!
Find something you like, then check the prices online to see if the store is giving you the best deal.
microsoft!
