I had a macbook until recently, and I dint like it much. How are dell or hp? I am a computer science student, so I need a laptop for coding in C, C#, .NET, java etc. I mostly like windows’ interface.the macbook keys were too much for me.

I’ve been through 2 HP laptops all of them work fine. 1 survived an accidental diet coke spill. It acts funky from time to time but it still works…. I now have an HP desktop. As you can tell already I swear by HP haha. They’re cheap and super reliable! My other laptop is an ancient Compaq, technically an HP because that was when CPQ got bought out by HP. It has passed its’ 5th year and still is ticking along.
I don’t like Dell laptops. They’re way too overpriced. HP’s academic discount is also more generous and you really don’t need to show proof that you’re in college. Just sign up and tell them where you go and bam! discount.
mac
you can buy intel pentinum
the one that does not have Vista…do not buy anything on earth that has the words "windows vista" on it, I don’t care if it is a pillow, a coconut, a cup of water or blank piece of paper!!!!
I’d tell you that I hope I helped, but as long as you trust me, I have helped!!!
hi don’t worry i am here,
u buy any laptop but u wants to see 4GB ram&400gb sata harddisk.thats it now u do your work sussesfully
Get an Intel Core 2 based Windows notebook. You can install Linux on it without any problems. Can even Install the Mac OS, but it is illegal according to MAC OS EULA. Therefore you can’t legally do it.
DELL Studio/inspiron series and HP Pavilion series have good reasonably priced notebooks. Brands like Toshiba, IBM, Sony, Fujitsu and Asus are also some other well known brands manufacturing good quality notebooks. Gateway and Acer are also popular, but I’m not so sure about their build quality or support.
Hi, if u really want to use all different OS’s then legally the only one that can use OS X, Windows and Unix/Linux is a Macbook.
Dell computers r good as well but legally all u cant install on them are OS X but u can use Linux/Unix and Windows.
If u r good at machines which I hope u r since u mention u r a computer science student then u can create your own hackintosh as well using the help of the osx86 project.

Good Luck and take care!
ya a mac is the easiest way to have access to os-x, linux and windows
You can run os’x on pc’s but its complicated and can be tricky to get working. Its also illegal (mentioned above).
Simplest option is to get a mac because its a simple matter to run any of the os’s you mention on it.
Buy something with a large hard drive. Preferably more than 320GB.
As for the different operating systems, i don’t think you would be able to have Windows and Mac OS on the same machine.
I would say you should have Vista/XP and Linux (i like ubuntu).
