I’m thinking of buying a used laptop. How much memory and space should I get? Are iBooks good ones?
Just for me to get away from having to use the family computer. So I can surf the net and do homework without being bothered. Speed is pretty important and I hear macs get less viruses than computers with windows platforms.

A MacBook is a great choice for a laptop, especially since now with PC laptops everything is shipping with Vista.
For a good laptop, get one with at least 2 gigs of RAM and at least 120 gigs of hard drive space.
well i think despite the virus threat still go for a pc 2ghz and up processor speed, atleast 2 gig ram. proper video card and sound card drive space really depends on you coz you can just burn files to disc. but 160gig hard drive is good.
PC over MAC because there are so much more things you can do on a PC than a MAC even if vista’s still having problems it will eventually get fixed it usually does.
pc is still more versatile more games more support, more applications. not really macs. think of it this way, when play staion came out all other consoles, nintendo family, sega 16, went down essentially because there more things for playstation than the others only when xbox came out did the playstation had a proper rival.
