Should I buy a used laptop off craigslist?

I am interested in buying a laptop off of someone from craigslist. The person said its about 2 years old but it has a whole load of great specs (bluray, HDTV tuner, 4GB RAM, etc.). Basically comes with everything for a good price. Should I take it? What do you suggest?
I myself have sold a computer on craigslist with no defects. So if I can trust myself should I trust others to be as honest as I am?

I would purchase it from a vendor versus off of craigslist or ebay or any other variance. Honestly I don’t trust any of those types. The computer could be defective and you’re victimized from that.
Visit a computer manufacturer website and customize a laptop to fit your needs or get it from an electronic store. I honestly wouldn’t trust a non-vendor department as vendors can be held liable and non-vendors can’t.
You may be an honest person but not everyone is honest. Why not get a brand new laptop from http://www.easy-stores.com? Their laptops start from the $300s.
