sims 2 games for an apple laptop?

I used to be a huge sims fanatic until my PC crashed about 6 months ago. Ever since then, I’ve been using my mom’s laptop. She just bought me a new apple laptop and I’m so happy! I love it <3 She said I can load the sims2 on my new laptop, but I heard that they take-up too much memory and ruin laptops. I have sims2: nightlife, university, pets, o4b and seasons. I know that before I stopped playing, they made one just for laptops. Does anyone know which one(s) i should get??

"The Sims Life Stories" is a line based on "The Sims 2" that has been developed specifically for laptops. Laptop users will be able to easily switch between the game and other programs they may be running, like instant messaging.
It’s not impossible to play "The Sims 2" on a laptop, it just may not be the best experience unless you have a newish laptop. The graphics are not as smooth or detailed, and the max number of Sims allowed on a lot is lowered because of the laptop’s hardware. "The Sims Life Stories" will not require a dedicated graphics card, so may be a better choice for the gamer on the go.
While it’s based on "The Sims 2," it will not be a replacement for most gamers. The best reason for buying, that I can tell without hands-on experience, is as a way to get your fill of Sims while you are away from your desktop.
Check your computer specifications (how much RAM you have, your graphics card etc) to see if the Sims 2 will run on it. RAM is inexpensive for the most part, its just memory. Also, http://thesims2.ea.com has system specifications on what graphics cards it will run with and how much ram you’ll actually need. So your laptop might be perfectly capable of running the normal Sims 2.
