My old (windows) laptop has died, and so I am going to buy a new laptop. I am an art student so will be using a range of the adobe products including after effects, photoshop and illustrator, and Id also using it for general internet use.
Bearing in mind that a windows laptop would be a lot cheaper for the same specs, it would also need anti-virus software etc and still be prone to viruses anyway.

So, weighing everything up, I would really appreciate any information on which would be better for my situation.
(If getting Mac – it would just be 2.4GHz Macbook)

basically i own a imac but i wanted to buy a used mac laptop. i find this one that says:

13" White Macbook, 2.4Ghz, Intel Core 2 Duo, 2GB RAM, 250HD, G5.
but im not sure if g5 is an older OS or is there any difference from the new ones.
