I have a Dell laptop computer running Windows XP, and I am thinking of buying an Apple laptop if and when I buy a new computer (probably soon). What are the advantages and disadvantages? I know we will still be using Windows at work, and I frequently transfer files. Also, I have iTunes for Windows now, but I assume it will be a relatively simple matter to transfer/copy the song files, or otherwise "import" them into iTunes from an external hard drive.

Any thoughts would be appreciated. thanks!

I have a powerbookd apple laptop and bought
the apple webcam. The one that is a cylinder.
I would like to be able to use it to make video

knew about was their software that required me
to be connected to someone else with the same
software and both of us would need to buy the

Are there any negatives or cons in buying a HDTV instead of a computer Monitor to use for my apple laptop? I would like to get something large. Anyone have experience in using a newer model 50-55" widescreen HDTV with a computer? Is it completely safe? I want a 50" but I dont want to damage the TV.

I was thinking to buy a new laptop. I already have a laptop, which we use it with my brother so he takes it more than me.
I want to new things, and I thought why not buying an apple laptop, with MAC software. I think that is more fashionable(?) and attractive for the younger ages. I think to buy the classic MacBook: cheap, classic, fashionable, with the everything I need. BTW, Has it got wireless on it? I mean, have wireless internet with my wireless router.
I researched and I found that there is Windows Live Messenger and Microsoft Office for MAC(See down the source). And every other game or application I need is compatible with MAC.
I have the money. Will I buy it in a retail shop here or by eBay?
My birthday is coming next month, so I should tell to my parents give me my gift(money) now and not later. But, how I will convince them?
Which color I will buy?
Please, give me your opinion as soon as you can…

im looking to buy an apple laptop with final cut pro mostly to use for video editing. what would be the best to use? would a Macbook laptop which includes 2.1GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 1GB memory, Combo drive and 120GB hard drive be good anough? (HD footage also)

I am so sick of PCs and I want an apple laptop. I have seen them at the apple store and they seem awesome. I want it mostly for home use, internet etc, but occasionally I will need to use Word or Excel (how compatible are the apple versions to the PC ones?) I saw an apple laptop for 99 and another for 99 but I am really clueless. Is this a good buy? If so, which one should get? Is the 99 one a good or a really crappy bet? Thanks so much in advance!

i might buy a laptop and i am keen on the new apple macbook pro 17". keep in note that i have never used an apple computer/laptop in my life and i have no idea about apple hardware/software and apple computer products.

i dont mind microsoft laptops but i have had bad experiences with microsoft products in my life, they are just too complicated and are not orgnized,(a recent study by CNET that 88% of microsoft computer users do not even use the applications on microsoft and they do not even use the full processing power of a microsoft computer!)

is there going to be a future apple laptop because i wouldnt like to get a macbook pro and a new apple laptop comes out!

I have used Apple computers for years at work as a newspaper page designer. However, I’ve never owned one myself, so I’ve never paid that much attention to the specs.

My PC laptop is nearing the end of its life, and I was thinking about buying an Apple laptop to be able to more easily work on work projects at home.

The only things I can think of that I’d be looking to do on the laptop are wireless Internet (of course), Photoshop, InDesign and iMovie/iDVD. I don’t do much else, except occasionally burn a CD, so I don’t think I need a brand new or anywhere near top-of-the-line machine. In fact, the cheaper, the better. (I’m not against buying used or refurbished.)

Anyone with a lot more Apple-buying experience than me have any ideas or advice? Thanks!

I’m interested in buying an Apple laptop. But, I’m not sure if I want to buy an Apple laptop if it can’t read bluray since CD drives used now will probably become obsolete….

Has Apple already started bluray drives or will they? I’m not a computer expert so correct me if I’m wrong about any of this.

I really want a white MacBook for I think ,299. My mom says no because we are going to be buying a house within the next 6 months. She has a great reason to say no, but I still really NEED the laptop. I have an iMac, but I really need an Apple laptop so I can use it while I travel, and when I go to my friend’s homes for school projects that need a computer involved, so then I can have it on my own laptop. It is also great for anykind of traveling. It could even help with my education. Say I am out of town for a weekend, even if it is just a long drive. I can type it easily on the car or plane. There would be no hassle, and I would easily be able to blue-tooth documents and such from my iMac to my MacBook. How can I convince her to buy if for me? I can even pitch in. I get a week as an allowance, but have to pay for clothes etc. Do you think I can convince for Christmas? I just want the laptop, Apple Waranty, and mouse for it.

I’m looking at buying a Apple G3 WallStreet used laptop. Which is loaded with the OS 10.3.9 (Panther)… and nothing else. I don’t know hardly anything about Mac’s, but I’m pretty good with PC’s. I have a windows xp desktop computer set up, and it has a wireless network. Can this apple laptop run off my windows wirless network? If so, how? I need to know before I make the purchase. I keep reading something about a airport card to do this? What if it doesn’t have one? Here’s the specs for the laptop:
