I have only worked on a wirelesss home network with PC Dell laptops and am now ready to buy a desktop. It has been recommended that I get a MAC, but I don’t know if it would be compatable with the PCs. I would not want the MAC desktop to be wireless.
I am looking to buy a new laptop. I’ve gone through three dell laptops, and they just don’t impress me that much. I kind of want to buy an Apple laptop, but I’ve never had one, so I’m not sure how the rank against other laptops, since they have a differnet operating system. Another one i was looking at is an HP, no particular system. I would use it for personal use and stuff, so any recommendations?
I’m planning on buying a new laptop in the next month since mine is dying on me and the panel is even getting cracked (we travelled a lot together). I’ve been really tempted to just buy a DELL laptop online; I’ve heard the quality of DELL laptops/computers has improved a lot and can now be fully trusted, is that true?
I’m looking for a laptop that is LIGHT but not too small…what I’ll basically do on it is surf the net, store my music, use Word and PowerPoint, so Microsoft Office basically and watch some videos. Any laptop brand with especially good battery life?
I do NOT want an ACER as they heat up oh-so fast.

For some reason I can’t find it right now, but I know that they use to have a link so that you could buy sticker covers for the Dell laptops. Only now I can not find it anywhere on the website. Could you please tell me where it is at? Thank you.

I have been accepted to USMA and enter in ’08. I’m fairly certain they issue Dell laptops to each cadet, but I am thinking about buying a laptop for personal use before I go (I am not taking this one to USMA!) but if I get one now, I might as well buy one that I will have for the next few years.
Can anyone tell me the EXACT make and model of the laptops used by the cadets at West Point, and if they should be the same for the 2008/2009 school year.
