Going to buy a laptop from dell should I go with Inspiron or lattitude?

Also, what are my must haves? I am going to use mainly for college, I’ll probably use for storing pics from camera & misc. Not a gamer though, so I’m thinking I’d like at fast processor, but I never know which is good enough because they give you so many options. Any ideas would be apprieciated! Thanks
