I am thinking about buying the Apple MacBook 13inch White 2.2GHz online for ,199.00. Here are some additional specs:

2.2GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
1GB memory
120GB hard drive1
Double-layer SuperDrive

Would you concider this a good buy? I used imac's in highschool but I own a Dell laptop. I am interested in the MacBook because of the fun things I can do with photos and videos.

What is your opinion? Should I opt to buy more Hard Drive space/Memory?

I need to buy a laptop, preferably under 0. I need the keyboard to include accents and characters (êěóò£šßöã§ç) as well.

Does anyone know of an online store that would have a computer like this?
EDIT: I do not know much about computers, but I need it to be fast and able to hold a lot of files on the hard drive.

I'm used to macs, but I needed a cheap windows computer to do some taxes. I purchased a used Dell C600 laptop, and when booted it just says "No bootable device, try again y/n?" There is a space/hole on the left side of the laptop where it looks like some sort of device should be inserted. Was it sent without a hard drive or something? What do I need to buy to get it to work?

I am struggling with the purchase of a new laptop. I am inclined to buy a Mac for greater security, ease of use, customer service, etc. but I can get so much more (RAM, hard drive, features, etc.)in a PC such as Dell, Toshiba, Sony, HP, etc. If there are any MAC lovers out there, please give me more reasons to buy one of the new laptops that just came out. Thanks!!!
I guess what I am really looking for is justification for spending twice as much on a Mac as I can for a PC.

Where can I buy a good quality refurbished/used laptop online, that's not ridiculously priced and has decent hard drive space?

i will be buying a dell laptop for school use and music and pictures. what will be the number of GHZ should i buy? 1.8 or 2.0 ghz?
will the 2.0 mean my laptop will last longer?

there is a 3GB RAM, 160GB hard drive

okay, i really need a new laptop. but, being a jobless teenager that has to buy it herself, i need a cheap one. i'd like it to be something like this:
*at least 1GB memory
*at least 100GB hard drive
*decent size screen
*good processor
*built-in microphone, possibly a webcam
*CD/DVD drive
*UNDER 0!!!!

it can be from stores or online...either works.

thanks in advance. you are loved.

im looking to buy an apple laptop with final cut pro mostly to use for video editing. what would be the best to use? would a Macbook laptop which includes 2.1GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 1GB memory, Combo drive and 120GB hard drive be good anough? (HD footage also)

Alright so I bought a used mac g3 clamshell laptop from a friend and a few months ago. Whenever I would turn it off it would make a weird noise and not turn except a few random times... I asked a friend who said I had a bad hard drive. Now my computer is really slow so I restarted it only the problem is it was loading but theres a white screen and a picture of a folder and in the middle and then a question mark appears inside the folder... Any help how to fix it?

Dell Inspiron 6000- Intel Pentium M Centrino, 1.6ghz, w/ 1gb memory, 60gb hard drive, dvd-rw, 15.4" screen, 802.11g built in wired & wireless, Windows xp...
vs.
HP nc8000 with docking station, Intel Pentium M, 1.67ghz, 40gb hard drive, 1gb memory, dvd/cdrw combo drive, 1.44" Internal floppy drive, HP Windows XP, 15' XGA screen

I'm starting a graduate program in instructional design.
They will mainly use Adobe's Studio Suite (Dreamweaver, Flash, Fireworks).

Money is an issue; but, if the Mac Pro is worth it, then perhaps the answer is yes for the Pro.

I do have a desktop PC with a pretty good graphics card, and memory. But, I was also considering buying a Mac laptop (even though I've only used the Mac a couple of times).

I would like to ask you if you think it would be necessary to buy a Mac Pro laptop to run the above applications (and perhaps pay extra for a faster hard drive 7200rpm and 17" screen or just the basic screen and hard drive? because I've read somewhere that a faster hard drive is better for running graphics, audio, and video); or would I do just as well with their basic Mac laptop and LCD screen?

Of course, the Mac Pro is much more than the basic Mac laptop, so this is why I need to find out if it's necessary.

Thanks

I have a HP Pavillion (can't remember exact model) and want to sell, but the hard drive is shot. I want to remove for security purposes and sell computer as is.

I bought a used laptop, sony vaio model sz220b I was just wondering how i can completley format the computer making it like i just bought it new.
Ok sorry i think i said it wrong.. i want to reformat the hard drive. Dell has this think where you push of the the "F1" buttons while its booting and it takes you to this thing that pretty much makes your computer brand new.

I'm looking at buying a Apple G3 WallStreet used laptop. Which is loaded with the OS 10.3.9 (Panther)... and nothing else. I don't know hardly anything about Mac's, but I'm pretty good with PC's. I have a windows xp desktop computer set up, and it has a wireless network. Can this apple laptop run off my windows wirless network? If so, how? I need to know before I make the purchase. I keep reading something about a airport card to do this? What if it doesn't have one? Here's the specs for the laptop:

266MHz G3 Processor
192MB RAM
4GB Hard Drive
CD-ROM Drive (only reads CDs; will not read DVDs or write to DVD or CD)
Not AiPort compatible <------
No USB ports
No FireWire ports
1- SCSI port
1- ADB port
1- Serial port
Ethernet port
56K modem
I'm really wanting to make it wireless. I keep reading that there's a way but I can't figure out HOW. Was there not wireless before the airports?
