I am a Software Student.. I need to buy a laptop... asap... Guys I need help... I want a laptop which shud have all the good features wich a normal software student wud require like wud need a lot of memory storage coz I will be downloading lot of softwares like Java,Netbeans etc.. etc. SO pls mention any good laptop with good features & Configurations and on Average cost along wid the configurations... Not much expensive... Thanx...

I find out that Amazon accept foreign credit card online payment.
Dell requires foreign credit card holder to call them to place an order.
And HP Home accept no foreign credit card at all.
Could anybody know any webside where I can use foreign credit card to buy a laptop online? Thanks.

How do I use my laptop as a monitor for a Mac Mini?

Okay heres my situation, I'm currently have a HP laptop and I'm thinking about buying a Mac Mini, But I don't have a monitor for it, So I want to use The screen on my laptop for my Mac Mini, Is that Possible? If so how would I do that?

My first laptop was a an old used Dell. Then I got a Brand New HP Pavialian this Christmas. I loved the laptop, I couldn't say anything bad about it. Only problem is someone robbed my house an took the laptop, so now I'm looking into buying a new Laptop.

I have been using Windows since the early 90's and have never used a Mac. I have an HP desktop and plan on still using it. I also want to buy a laptop because I have Wifi throughout my house and I don't always feel like sitting at a desk. A friend of mine recently switched to Mac and can't say enough good things about it. I just recently invested in an ipod touch. I downloaded itunes onto my PC and it's been working fine for me as far as loading stuff into my ipod. I basically plan on using the laptop mainly to play the MMO City of Heroes (which now has a version for Apple), to surf the web, manage my music and photos, play around in photoshop elements, and to a lesser extent edit home movies and the like from my camcorder. Given that these are the main and probably only reasons I would be using the laptop, is it worth spending the extra to get the Mac book or should I stick to an HP laptop with Windows?

And please refrain from the whole Mac vs. PC flame wars. Ideally I'd like to hear from people who have used both systems.

Best laptop to buy??

I am looking to buy a new laptop. I've gone through three dell laptops, and they just don't impress me that much. I kind of want to buy an Apple laptop, but I've never had one, so I'm not sure how the rank against other laptops, since they have a differnet operating system. Another one i was looking at is an HP, no particular system. I would use it for personal use and stuff, so any recommendations?

Never used a laptop before.. so really need help in buying one ..

I am mostly gonna use it for school work, download, burning ...and sometimes games..

Apple lovers, can you convince me why I should buy a Mac laptop?

I am struggling with the purchase of a new laptop. I am inclined to buy a Mac for greater security, ease of use, customer service, etc. but I can get so much more (RAM, hard drive, features, etc.)in a PC such as Dell, Toshiba, Sony, HP, etc. If there are any MAC lovers out there, please give me more reasons to buy one of the new laptops that just came out. Right out of college I bought a brand new car. I had my thrill but I'll never do it again because cars depreciate so much in the first few years. Last year I bought a 3-year old Land Cruiser for about K (which sold for K new). I love it. Anyway, is it a smart idea to buy a used laptop? I have a desktop computer (HP Pentium 4, 2.53 GHz, 512 RAM) that works fine and I actually like the speed better than an HP Compaq NC6000 laptop which I sometimes use (and all I know about that baby is it has an M processor). Anyway, I want to add a used laptop to help me do business when I travel and mostly for surfing. I've got a budget of about 0 but I figure I'll probably have to bump that up to 0 or 0 to get something that's okay. Don't need a whole lot of storage for files. Do want built-in wifi capability. I'm a big ebay shopper too. What can I buy? Is my budget too low? What minimum specs should I look for considering my needs? What's your favorite beer?
