Used Dell LaptopsI need a laptop purely for performance and no gaming or multimedia . I usually open lot of browsers and applications and don’t shut down the laptop . i install various ims, toolbars, applications etc. need a robost system.

We have an eMachine desktop running XP with a HP Officejet connected to it. Additionally we have a wireless router that our HP laptops use to print and access the internet.
We recently bought a new MAC laptop and have successfully set it up to browse the internet via the wireless router. However, I am having trouble setting the MAC laptop up to print to the HP Desktop… can I set the MAC laptop up to print to the HP wirelessly?

I am considering upgrading to a better model laptop and I was just wondering what kind of ballpark price someone may pay for this on ebay or something. Also, is there any major retailer or store that would do a trade-in?

I bought a new HP Pavillion 2000 series laptop with builtin webcam. When i launch Yahoo messenger, webcam works fine. When i close the webcam window and open for the second time, am getting the error message " Sorry no webcam is connected was found on the system". Only restarting the PC solves the problem.
My question is there any way to solve the issue without restarting the PC.
I closed and restarted Yahoo messenger. Still webcam is not connected error message occurs.

I hate my school computer; it’s an HP laptop (a new kind, I’m not sure the exact model) but by the time the school year closes, it will be in decent condition. I would have only used it for about 9 months. I take good care of it, and keep it safe from spam and viruses. I used to have a Mac and it was amazing 
I miss it so much, and so I was wondering how much I could get for my used HP to save up for a new Mac. I’m probably transferring schools next year, so it would be nice to have a computer that I’m comfortable with.

I bought a used HP laptop from a colleague. He could not access it for he forgot the password( it was his daughters). He said that I can ask someone to open it. A technician was able to open it, removing all files. The technician however found out that the laptop could not be upgraded for it was more than 10 years old and the screen was too small to work with.
The Laptop was sold for 0.00
Would the lemon law which includes household products(including computers) apply on this case?

i posted an item a little while ago re: Consumer reports thoughts on identity safety and the such in the realm of selling and disposing of PC’s; how there was possibly a void in how securely folks take care of such matters when selling a laptop, e.g. I have a HP dv9500t- I’m selling it; will the restore disc (taking it back to out of box state) be sufficient? Anyone familiar w/ HP’s that can lend a thought or two? Thnx
