I used to be a huge sims fanatic until my PC crashed about 6 months ago. Ever since then, I've been using my mom's laptop. She just bought me a new apple laptop and I'm so happy! I love it <3 She said I can load the sims2 on my new laptop, but I heard that they take-up too much memory and ruin laptops. I have sims2: nightlife, university, pets, o4b and seasons. I know that before I stopped playing, they made one just for laptops. Does anyone know which one(s) i should get??

thanks a bunch

It is now time for me to get a new laptop, as my old Dell is not performing the things, and quickness I need it to. I am looking into buying a Mac laptop, but I know nothing about them. I use my laptops mainly for DVD editing, and creating, music and photo editing. I am looking for something that can burn cds and dvds withen the laptop, and has software that I can create professional like dvds. I am looking to spend anywhere under 0, if possible. As I stated above, I know noting about Apple, and their laptops. Does editing software, Photoshop, Garage Band..etc. come on the laptops? Do you have to buy everything extra? Help! Thanks

There is this Dell Latitude D600,it has512 mb ram,40Gb, Hard drive dvd, cdrw. there is a used onr that is REALLY cheap!! it is 3 or 4 yrs old and a used one is 9 or a refurbished one is 3. Whcih one would you get? Have u ever had any problems w/ used laptops?Thanx. 10 4 best!!
Actually it was amazon, but ok.

I heard there's warehouses or storage that stock thousands of used laptops but how can I get their phone numbers and addresses? I googled for "used laptop warehouse" but the websites that showed up in the search result didn't look like first hand sources. I'm in a hurry to buy 100 to 200 functional Thinkpad T series at 0 to 0per unit.

Not too savvy on laptops. I need to know how to find out if this computer has audio hardware or missing it or if I just need drivers. When I go to audio and sound in control panel it does appear that there is no hardware. How can I be sure

I recently bought new laptop from Dell and currently we have office network named 'officenetwork' runs on wireless router. We have four PC's connected to this network. One is connected via wire, and rest three has wireless network.

Our wireless network is using MAC address filter to allow only known computers in area to connect with it. Our wireless router is connected with office server where all our daily working files are stored. So with wireless network 'officenetwork' we can access internet as well as can work with files.

But now problem here is that I do have MAC address of new laptop, but don't know how to add it to wireless router to allow new laptop to connect it. I am trying to enter new laptops MAC address with currently connected PC's to network, but no luck since last two days.

When I enter the IP address 192.168.2.1 in connected computers I can access my server, but do you have any idea how can i get access directly to my router which is connected to server.
So I can enter my new laptop's MAC address and get connected with 'officenetwork'.

One more thing, I can access my networks settings on server, but there is no option to add MAC address.

When I go to System option on my server there it says 'to run system commands'. So does anyone know what system command can I run to add mac address. The system command application doesn't looks like MS-DOS, it says that command will run as root user, so I think it's Linux version of MS-DOS.

Yes I also know the MAC address of the wireless router, incase if you know that I can do anything with it.

Can anybody help me on this please.

But sorry for this long detail of my question, I couldn't find any shorter way to explain it.

Please help me as soon as possible.

Thankyou.
I am sorry. The new router is provided by my server company, and it's nameless, there is no make model number written on it.

After tuition and books, I have about 0 left over. Apparently the school sends the extra to me as a check once both tuition disbursements have been received. If I set the extra money aside for a few semesters, I'd have enough to buy one of the Dell mini laptops. Can I do this? I only ask because I signed the promissory note that said I wouldn't spend it on things unrelated to school. I figure it's school-related... Experiences?

I have heard that the lifespan of a laptop is much less than a desktop computer and a used laptop will not last very long. Are refurbished laptops considered as new, or used when considering how long they last?

2 Laptops seem rather decent to me
and the laptop's ability to play games (e.g. N64 Emulators and games like Halo and Oblivion) is pretty much the deciding factor between these computers. That and overall function.

The first laptop which I am leaning towards is a
HP Dv5000 LAPTOP(intel 1.7 dual pro, 2g ram, 80g, 256m graphic card)
The guy is asking 0 for this
Is this a good deal?
Its used but in good condition.
Also this guy will apparently install Norton Anti virus for a year
Which I told him sure
Even though I pay for McAfee

Also there is another laptop
which is a
DELL LATITUDE D600 1.6GHZ 1024MB 40GB CDRW/DVD WIFI XP PRO LAPTOP

and 5 is being asked for this one

Which do you think is better?
Which do you think could play games the best?

I have just bought the software - Final Cut Studio Pro today. I'm debating on which laptop or computer to get. Usually, I use laptops. I have the old mac which I'm planning out to recycle. I have vista laptops, but since I'm planning on using this software for fun (such as Youtube) and sometimes for serious lookouts. Is it better to buy the new MacBook Pro or the iMac. The Mac computer looks good to, but I'm sick of those old style computers, that's why I rather go for the iMac. Any comments?

I was searching everywhere online for a company other than apple store itself that sells used mac's. Well I found a supposedly reputable company online that is experts at fixing laptops especially macs. They also sell them too. So after much research I decided to buy one from them for 9. I got it in September because they were running a good deal on this one and I wanted to buy it asap. I bought it for my boyfriends birthday which is in November. I turned it on when I got it..it worked fine.. I shut it down and never turned it on again. Come November...my boyfriend gets it hes so happy etc etc..now 1 week later it doesn't work..it boots up and doesn't even go to any screens or anything...my boyfriend didn't do anything to it..and this company's policy is only a 30 day return...i purchased it through Paypal and they only have a 30 day dispute period and my bank said its too late for them to do anything. The laptop has a 6 month warranty but I just want my money back. Any advice any1?

I have a Dell Inspiron 1525 that i got in april, it is practically new. 80 GB hard drive, 1 GB Ram, Intel Celron 550 Processor, 15.4" Wide/HD/No glare screen, Black finish, hd sound, 6 cell battery, ac adaptor, Windows Vista Premium, all manuals and disc(windows and dell driver disc).
No scratches, no flaws, no problems. I changed my major and I am going to need a more advanced computer that is capable of more things(video/sound editing, etc.)
.
1. How much money should i ask/expect for this laptop?
2. What are good places to sell the laptop to? (Yeah I know ebay..how much would a pawn shop offer? Any online stores that buy used laptops? Will Dell buy it back and sell as refurbished?)

Thanks.
