I used to be a huge sims fanatic until my PC crashed about 6 months ago. Ever since then, I've been using my mom's laptop. She just bought me a new apple laptop and I'm so happy! I love it <3 She said I can load the sims2 on my new laptop, but I heard that they take-up too much memory and ruin laptops. I have sims2: nightlife, university, pets, o4b and seasons. I know that before I stopped playing, they made one just for laptops. Does anyone know which one(s) i should get??

thanks a bunch
Victoria

I am thinking about buying the Apple MacBook 13inch White 2.2GHz online for ,199.00. Here are some additional specs:

2.2GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
1GB memory
120GB hard drive1
Double-layer SuperDrive

Would you concider this a good buy? I used imac's in highschool but I own a Dell laptop. I am interested in the MacBook because of the fun things I can do with photos and videos.

What is your opinion? Should I opt to buy more Hard Drive space/Memory?

I do some study on-line at y local college, I also like to edit minivideos, and I use about 5 or so different softwares that use a lot of memory... what features do I concentrate on most?

I have a Apple Macbook.not a pro.And i wanted to buy these computer games like Sims 2 or Roller coaster Tycoon which only runs on Windows.is there something you can download to get Windows instead & play these games?& run Window Movie Maker 2& Window softwares?

In addition,iMovie sucks to me.Whenever i make a amv or something.A 3 min. clip takes 2 GB.Which i cant fit in on youtube which my youtube account only allows you to upload 100mb videos. So i i use those online video editors onetruemedia.com that makes me do montages that takes less space.Im too jaded to go there. So is there a software I can download besides iMovie
that you can edit videos & compress videos that doesnt gobble ub your whole memory?

I do a lot of photo editing, internet use, and am starting a small business on ebay. I know I need A LOT of memory, but don't know what to look for. How much ram, hardrive size, etc...Please help! I will be buying used because of price.

I was searching for a cheap apple laptop, because I am a high-school student and would like to have my own computer before I go off to college. I found the website gainsaver.com and found some very inexpensive ibooks on it. I was thinking of getting the iBook notebook 12.1" 700 MHz G3 Apple computer M8860LL/A. There are some upgrades you can get, of which I was thinking of getting the 120GB hard drive, 640MB memory, and installation of airport card. The total comes to 6.
So I was wondering.. First of all, is gainsaver.com a good website? Do you know if I would get a good, reliable computer from this website? Also, would this be a good computer for me period? I would probably install photoshop on the computer and maybe AOL, but probably not many other major programs. Of course I would have itunes and my 1000+ songs for my ipod touch. But I'm not using this computer for anything major.
Can anyone help me out? Thanks!!

I have an older Gateway Solo 5300 laptop that a friend of mine wants to upgrade the memory and I wanted to ask before buying if... will Mac laptop PC100 SODIMM memory be compatible with this Gateway laptop that the specs say PC100 is what is used?

My concern is whether I'll be able to successfully reactivate Vista as the new owner in the event I reformat the computer, upgrade the memory, replace the LCD screen if I break it and so on.

I want a laptop with - INTEL CORE 2 DUO,160GB memory,1GB ram,14.1 OR 15.4" screen,high audio sound,Integrated Camera,hardy & strong,suitable for indian climate.

okay, i really need a new laptop. but, being a jobless teenager that has to buy it herself, i need a cheap one. i'd like it to be something like this:
*at least 1GB memory
*at least 100GB hard drive
*decent size screen
*good processor
*built-in microphone, possibly a webcam
*CD/DVD drive
*UNDER 0!!!!

it can be from stores or online...either works.

thanks in advance. you are loved.

I'm buying a laptop now. I'm not sure if i should go with a Mac or a standard notebooks. I like the Mac video editing features and the photobooth stuff and how it is not as prone to viruses as other laptops. I need one with a lot of memory, the standard applications like a writing application etc., and something that I can download applications easily on. But are Macs really hard to use? Are applications more geared towards PCs than Macs?
thanks in advance.

im looking to buy an apple laptop with final cut pro mostly to use for video editing. what would be the best to use? would a Macbook laptop which includes 2.1GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 1GB memory, Combo drive and 120GB hard drive be good anough? (HD footage also)

i want to buy a good laptop. with XP pro, wifi, big memory etc. i want it new. is there anywhere to buy 1 cheap, like wholesale, or shops that do good deals???????? im on miami beach near licoln ave, and dont have much time to travel too far out.

I'm starting a graduate program in instructional design.
They will mainly use Adobe's Studio Suite (Dreamweaver, Flash, Fireworks).

Money is an issue; but, if the Mac Pro is worth it, then perhaps the answer is yes for the Pro.

I do have a desktop PC with a pretty good graphics card, and memory. But, I was also considering buying a Mac laptop (even though I've only used the Mac a couple of times).

I would like to ask you if you think it would be necessary to buy a Mac Pro laptop to run the above applications (and perhaps pay extra for a faster hard drive 7200rpm and 17" screen or just the basic screen and hard drive? because I've read somewhere that a faster hard drive is better for running graphics, audio, and video); or would I do just as well with their basic Mac laptop and LCD screen?

Of course, the Mac Pro is much more than the basic Mac laptop, so this is why I need to find out if it's necessary.

Thanks

I want it for photoshop, webdesign, flash and internet browsing. Of course i would like to upgrade the memory, this one only has 256 m ram. It is possible to do this?
It'll be the first time i will use a Mac, I've heard they are better that PC, but i dont know if this G3 is a good option.
