I recently bought a 15 inch macbook pro with a student discount, but now I want to sell it and get a 13 inch macbook pro. I was told I could only buy one laptop per school year, but wonder if I just go to another apple store and use a different credit card and address, is there any way they will know? How do they know? Do they record my address or credit card number or school affiliation?

I have been accepted to USMA and enter in ’08. I’m fairly certain they issue Dell laptops to each cadet, but I am thinking about buying a laptop for personal use before I go (I am not taking this one to USMA!) but if I get one now, I might as well buy one that I will have for the next few years.

Can anyone tell me the EXACT make and model of the laptops used by the cadets at West Point, and if they should be the same for the 2008/2009 school year.

I hate my school computer; it’s an HP laptop (a new kind, I’m not sure the exact model) but by the time the school year closes, it will be in decent condition. I would have only used it for about 9 months. I take good care of it, and keep it safe from spam and viruses. I used to have a Mac and it was amazing I miss it so much, and so I was wondering how much I could get for my used HP to save up for a new Mac. I’m probably transferring schools next year, so it would be nice to have a computer that I’m comfortable with.
