I’ve decided to buy a laptop, but haven’t decided on which system I should run. I know it depends a lot on what I plan to use it for, and windows is a lot more widely used than mac (especially with schoolwork). And I’m also aware that macs (at least the ones I’ve seen) cost quite a bit more than a windows computer. One of the most important things I’m taking into consideration is the amount of viruses out there for windows computers, as opposed to only one for Mac computers (so I’ve heard). I don’t need lots of fancy features, just basically something with a CD/DVD drive and USB ports. Your opinions and experience with either would be much appreciated, along with any advice you can offer. Thank you!

need enough speed to play DVD’s have a better than average sound system, play some games (call of duty) use MS works, Excel, Powerpoint, looking for a trustworthy outlet someone around Vancouver Wa. or someplace online. Also we are going wireless at our home what system should we choose. The laptops will need the wireless cards or internal not sure which is best. also need USB ports for thumb drives and digital camera. Thanks for the help

I’m looking at buying a Apple G3 WallStreet used laptop. Which is loaded with the OS 10.3.9 (Panther)… and nothing else. I don’t know hardly anything about Mac’s, but I’m pretty good with PC’s. I have a windows xp desktop computer set up, and it has a wireless network. Can this apple laptop run off my windows wirless network? If so, how? I need to know before I make the purchase. I keep reading something about a airport card to do this? What if it doesn’t have one? Here’s the specs for the laptop:

I’m really wanting to make it wireless. I keep reading that there’s a way but I can’t figure out HOW. Was there not wireless before the airports?
