]]> My first laptop was a an old used Dell. Then I got a Brand New HP Pavialian this Christmas. I loved the laptop, I couldn’t say anything bad about it. Only problem is someone robbed my house an took the laptop, so now I’m looking into buying a new Laptop.

]]> ok, at the moment I dont own a laptop. But I’m looking for one on eBay! Either an ibook Clamshell, (Just because they’re really cute) a PowerBook or a normal iBook G3. But someone told me that you cant work Windows XP on an Apple because they use their own system. But you can install Parallels or Bootcamp. All I need is a loooooooong description of what the difference is and which would be better to get. I also want to know whether it would be a good idea to buy an Apple? AND WHAT IN THE WORLD IS OS X 10.5 Leopard. If someone could answer this in the most polite fashion without telling me how dumb I am for not knowing what OS X 10.5 Leopard is!
Keep in mind that I dont have a limited supply of money and cant really afford a macbook pro seeing that here in Souht Africa, you take the price in America and times it by 7,68. (,000 in America, R15 360 in South Africa)

]]> I will soon be planning to buy a laptop, but I will be using it for school and college later on. Which is a better and a smarter choice, Apple or Windows?

I usually use the computer for Internet Search, Writing reports, essays, and other school work, etc. I also use it for storing pictures from my Digital Camera and iTunes as well. I currently have Windows XP in my P.C, yet have been having trouble with viruses, the computer freezes and is somewhat slow during the Internet search process. Yet compare to my school, they use Apple instead, and so far I like it.

I know we will still be using Windows at work, and I frequently transfer files. Also, I have iTunes for Windows now, but I assume it will be a relatively simple matter to transfer/copy the song files, or otherwise "import" them into iTunes from an external hard drive.

]]> I bought a used dell latitude laptop, but it didn’t come with any user guides. I noticed a function key and so far it only works with the suspend key. It won’t work for volume or display brightness. It worked when I used it the first few times. I must have hit a button that made it stop working. Can any one tell me what I might have done to my keyboard?
Also, the track stick in the middle of the keyboard, I’m suppose to be able to just tap it and it recognize that as a click, it worked the first few times, now the tapping doesn’t work.

Another thing, I went into the keyboard set up to try to setup my Dell AccessDirect Key, but when I go into keyboard setup there is no Dell AcccessDirect Key.

What should I do? Could it be that Windows XP is not recognizing the correct keyboard or track stick? Should I try to reinstall a driver for the keyboard, if so , how?
