Wanting to buy a used laptop?
I'm buying a used laptop and am wondering which one of the two options to purchase.
1) Open box unit. Cosmetic blemishes on main unit. Cosmetic blemishes on accessory. Repackaged in Amazon brown box.
2) Open box unit. Cosmetic blemishes on main unit. Minor damage to outer box. Package resealed.
What do they mean? Where are these blemishes located?

1) there *may* be marks/scratches to the casing of the laptop and/or marks/scratches on the power supply/ software (may make it unreadable!) / user guides… IE everything *could* be marked or scratched – or it may have a grubby finger print!
2) the laptop it self may have a mark/ srcatch on it, all the software/ charging unit & user guides are in ‘brand new’ condition. The box it comes in will be lightly damaged but should not look as if it has been crushed
Both the above are probably ‘customer returns’.
The Blemishes could be anyware….before you buy, just check that the screen is free from marks/ blemish, the software is all functionable and you have a warrentee in case you have a problem.

buy mine i got it 4 or 5 months ago
Go to HP or Dell or whatever company website and look for Refurbished
These are returned computers with full company warrranty
E.g.,

Go to circus city for a new one with warranty. If you want a used one check http://www.overstock.com or e bay
buy a refurbished computer from apple or dell
I’m sure they would let you take a look at it since it is an open box and make sure you buy a warranty and ask what their return policy is if you don’t buy the warranty but it is defective when you get it home.
I always do open box items and so far so good.
