What Apple Laptop(s) Should I Look At Buying?
Popular Searches: used laptops|used Alienware laptops| used Apple laptops| used Mac laptops| Used Dell Laptops
I have used Apple computers for years at work as a newspaper page designer. However, I’ve never owned one myself, so I’ve never paid that much attention to the specs.
My PC laptop is nearing the end of its life, and I was thinking about buying an Apple laptop to be able to more easily work on work projects at home.
The only things I can think of that I’d be looking to do on the laptop are wireless Internet (of course), Photoshop, InDesign and iMovie/iDVD. I don’t do much else, except occasionally burn a CD, so I don’t think I need a brand new or anywhere near top-of-the-line machine. In fact, the cheaper, the better. (I’m not against buying used or refurbished.)
Anyone with a lot more Apple-buying experience than me have any ideas or advice? Thanks!

You’ll never get your money’s worth with a used Mac. For the price of a decent G4, which is completely outdated, you could get a new Dell or HP notebook with 2-3 times the processing power and better battery life.
Well a Macbook is a very good computer. If you know any university students or just want to lie about it and say you are when you order it online you can get it for $999.
It would be able to run all those programs mentioned above. Or since macbooks just got upgraded a few months back i’m sure you could get a good deal on craigslist.com
Just search for you area, and then if you see one that you like you can set up a possible meeting with the seller to make sure everything is running smoothly. Good luck to you. And congrats to going MAC. =]. I got my first mac in Nov (macbook pro), and i love it.
Look in Apple’s online refurbished store for a deal on a laptop that you can afford. I would personally opt for a MBP if I could afford one.
