I switched to a Mac in October of 2008, after using everything from Windows 98 to Windows Vista on Dells, Compaqs, HPs and Toshibas, and I don't regret it one bit.

Before I bought my Mac, I have to admit, I was a Windows fanboy. Despite all the problems (crashing, freezing, viruses that display floating hearts and flying pigs on the screen, and the blue screen of death), I stuck to it. But one day I installed Windows Vista on my PC. That day I was so excited but like the rest of the world I was met with extreme, utter disappointment. Now, perhaps my machine couldn't handle Vista or perhaps I should've waited for Windows 7 but I realized that day that a company like Microsoft should not fail, ever. Whether it's simply crashing and freezing or it's failing operating systems, with all of its resources, Microsoft should not fail. Nor should it waste my time and money. But it did.

So, to make a long story short, I made the switch and it's been smooth sailing ever since. The learning curve is almost non-existent. The one thing I had the most difficulty with was getting used to copy and pasting. Instead of Control-C and Control-V, it's Command-C and Command-V. Go ahead and laugh at me.

I am no longer a PC. I'm am a Mac and I can safely say, I will always be a Mac.

Switch to Mac they never crash! I'll never get viruses!

Ignorance is not bliss.

Once a large percentage of all PC haters that hate PC because they themselves cannot take the time to learn to better protect themselves or keep their systems working via some really simple maintenance every now and again. The larger base of Mac users will only increase the demand for Mac viruses.

Enjoy living in Mac based Ignorance where everything is spoon fed to you so you won't have to learn or do a damn thing.

Gentlemen you may now commence the thumbs downing.

It took me about a week to get used to. I love my Macbook. The speed is faster. No defragmenting and disk cleaning. It's done automatically. Also software is cheaper. iWork 71.00 MS Office 129.00
Leopard Full 129.00 Win 7 Full 319.00
Macs are way better.

I never knew much about macs until i used my friends at his house. I have never used such a nice computer. Everything is just so easy to use and because the designer, manufacturer, software producer, and distributor are the same it makes you feel even safer. All pcs are is a open invite for malware viruses and worms. Macs are just so simple and to the point. And the biggest thing is that when you call to talk to someone if you have any questions there not all indians that can barely speak english. The people that run the lines are real people that you can talk to. Just everything is better coming from a pc to a mac
