what windows programs are comparable to the iLife suite of a mac?
wat can i use instead of
Garage band
iDvd
iMovie
iCal
etc..
i want to buy a mac laptop, but i dont want want to spend the money..
i dont want like FCP replacements, i want easy stuff

If you are going to buy a mac laptop, just buy the iLife suite and iWork suiite – there is nothing better that is cheaper. After you use them for a while if you need heavy duty video editing, for example, then buy a separate program – like Final Cut Pro.
Do the same for all the applications, If iPhoto does not work well, then buy Apple Aperture or Adobe Lightroom both excellent programs.
