Where is the best place to buy a desktop Mac computer?

I want to use Final Cut Pro so I need to buy a Mac just to use that program. Is there anywhere, retail place or online, that I can get a Mac computer cheap to use FCP?
By the way, is getting a desktop computer necessarily better than a laptop when using a program like Final Cut Pro?

The Apple store is honestly the best place to go. Yes a desktop is better than a laptop, unless you are buying a Macbook Pro.
Apples stores are your best bet ! However I have seen good deals at computer outlets !
Regardless of the source, make sure you get a valid Apple warranty !
