Which Apple laptop is the best for me? Please help, as I know nothing about Macs!?

It is now time for me to get a new laptop, as my old Dell is not performing the things, and quickness I need it to. I am looking into buying a Mac laptop, but I know nothing about them. I use my laptops mainly for DVD editing, and creating, music and photo editing. I am looking for something that can burn cds and dvds withen the laptop, and has software that I can create professional like dvds. I am looking to spend anywhere under 0, if possible. As I stated above, I know noting about Apple, and their laptops. Does editing software, Photoshop, Garage Band..etc. come on the laptops? Do you have to buy everything extra? Help! Thanks

If $700 USD is the max you are spending, your only choice is the Mac Mini. but this is a desktop.
UPDATE: Okay, try ebay and look for macbooks.
All of the editing software should come with the laptop, but you’re not going to find a Mac for under $700. For what you need it to do, I’d recommend a MacBook Pro, since that has the processing power and RAM needed for video editing, and also has a Superdrive for writing DVDs. But that will run you around $2500 – $3000. Apple hardware is rock solid and very well designed, so it’s not cheap.
You’ll pay a premium for all Apple products. The cheapest laptop they have is over $1,000.
The kind you want, for professional DVD editing, is a MacBook Pro. They run pretty expensive though (closer to $2,000).
Photoshop does not come on them (that’s an Adobe Product). Garageband does come on it, and so does iMovie, iDVD, and some other perks.

under $700? I don’t know if that’s going to happen. If you’re looking for a used, not made any more apple lap top, you might be able to get under 700 from ebay or something. Cheapest new laptop you’re probably going to get is 1000. Try and get student discount.
GarageBand does come pre-installed, as well as everything else mentioned on apple.com photoshop: nope.
