Which Mac laptop should I buy for my own use?
I have used PCs all my life, but now I have decided to switch to Macs because I think they would work well with my kind of use. I have done my research and read about the different ones available, but I'm not sure which would work best for me. All of the PCs I have used have failed with me. I use my computer for many things. I need adequate battery life and a fast system that can handle multitasking with big graphics programs. I mainly use my computer for storing and editing pictures, listening to music, watching movies, editing movies, chatting, web surfing, graphics making, game playing, and maybe some other things. As you can see, I need a lot of space and also RAM, but I'm unsure which or how much would be best. If anyone familiar with Macs can help me, I'd really appreciate it. I'll be going to college next fall, so I'll need it for my major as well.
Please, if you are just going to try to change my mind about buying a Mac, then don't answer. I know everyone has their opinion about PCs and Macs, but I'm not looking for opinions on both right now.
Thank you. ![]()
Also, not too expensive. Preferably ,500 US or under, but a bit more is okay. Just not something crazy, like ,700. I'm saving for college, so don't want to spend too much.

Get the new $1200 aluminum MacBook. You get a $50 discount at the Apple education store. It has the speed, ram etc. that you need. It would be your minimum MacBook. If you have the money, move up to a new 15" MacBook Pro, it gives a bit better speed, etc. But unless you need the firewire capability & the larger screen you could spend the extra cost to get a larger hard drive on the MacBook & still have money left over. I got an iMac and a MacBook for a bit more than the cost of just the MacBook Pro. The MacBook Air is nice but it would serve best as a 2nd or 3rd Mac to have & just use it for travel.
Macbook Pro is the best for you.
hey, Apple MacBook Air MB003LL/A, it’s awesome, I’ve got a friend which has it, and he is…. amazed of what it can do, some good prices if you want to consult you can find on this website: http://www.ElectronicsCyprus.net
Great choice! You are doing the right thing. I have also had a bad experience with pc’s. So i think you should go for the MacBook. A new version has just come out. Which looks great. This costs $1299 but if you liked the last one then they are selling it off on the apple store website for $999. You are lucky in america because there are selling the old for £719 over here about $1244! Hope this helps!!
Consider:
1, Mac’s have switched to intel chips / mother boards just like Pc’s.
2, Its possible to load Leopard (Mac’s o/s) onto a pc. then works just like a Mac! bargain (google to find out how)
Sometimes Ive seen Mac’s going cheap at:

Often ex-display, or re-cons etc.
good luck.
